Harry Potter Post

So, tonight jessi invited me to go to the Harry Potter party with her. It was quite fun really.

I forgot my wand in the car, but let me tell you, it is awesome, i has glitter and all.

As we walked in, the lady was like "here for the harry potter party?" i said no, just to look around at books.

Anyway, we got glasses, and tattoos. They're pretty sweet.

And we also got our pictures taken in the board, and made frames. Sweet ones

And then, as the lines formed, We were 197 of reserved cuz she already had a copy waiting. There were up to 300s at least of reserved, plus all the walk-ins. It was ridiculous how many people there were. So we waited 200 people, got to the front of the line,
and then i made my purchase

"Uhh... and a copy of Harry Potter?"
"No thank you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm not interested."


I contemplated saying "so THATS why the checkout line was so long."

edit: i forgot to mention,
i spent a good deal of time making up lies and saying them in front of the kids. things like "i heard the actor who plays harry is here to personally hand us our copies." and from peter, "you know, this is mostly publicity, they really only have about ten copies of the book here, most of us wont even get one." and other things that kids would overhear and go running off "...mom???" so mean. but way funny

oh lydia, you are so funny. I kinda did that with the kids with my friend Alicia @ the ridgedale Borders, but we were a lot more....say vulgar. :)

I'm sure you totally weirded out the employees..how awesome

Yeah the party was awesome, thanks for coming! I finished the book, it was amazing.
